Self Catering in Devon
Self catering in Devon! If you are after self catering in Devon then you have found just the right site! Look no further. Cobwebs in the grounds of Berry Mill House offers lovely accommodation: sleeping six in comfort, with ample car parking and all the facilities you would expect. The owners of Cobwebs and Berry Mill House are Jill and Gerry James. Berry Mill house is a converted 17th century and is adjacent to the Cobwebs holiday cottage. The grounds of Berry Mill House and Cobwebs are very relaxing and have a wooded area bordered by a small stream. Just the place for a cream tea on a hot summer afternoon! Berry Mill House is located within the award winning village of Berrynarbor, North Devon, United Kingdom. The village of Berrynarbor is itself placed in a wooded valley between Combe Martin and Ilfracombe and is a perfect location for the exploration of North Devon's world famous coastline or just for seeing the immense beauty of the Exmoor National Park. When you find yourself at Berry Mill House you will have so much choice in terms of your holiday. Lots to do and only a limited time to do it all in, that's how you feel after a few days here. There is of course the coast itself which stretches in a couple of house down to Cornwall in the west and upto Somerset in the east. On the coast are all manner of activities, some more vigorous than others. Then there is inland, and here you can explore the many, many beautiful villages in Exmoor, including Simons bath, Challacombe, Exford etc. all of which are served by the National Trust and which offer the most beautiful sights in the UK! When you go onto the moor whether it's at a coastal location like say Hunter's Inn or the Valley of the Rocks at Lynton, or if it's inland like Parracombe then it's the same ty0pe of discovery that you make. Just how come this area is so beautiful? I think the answer is that it's intrinsically wild and wonderful, but there has been a considerable amount of effort put in by the County Council, the District Council and bodies such as the National Trust. The results are that you can easily spend a whole day in any one of these areas and have more than enough to do, and when you consider the number of them across the coast then you can see how many ties you would to come back to make an impression on the whole area. If you have children with you then it's a paradise for them. There are the many normal seaside facilities like great beaches, but there are also many themed areas such as the Dinosaur Park, the Big Sheep etc that will keep the children happy all day long. So there we are, just a few words from someone who has moved down here and feels lucky to be here. One last thing, coming here in the winter is a treat. It may rain, but it's rarely too cold and how the countryside shines then. Less people around, perhaps the foliage is less dense, but it is stunning, and many people come here at that time just to be out and about, followed by a lovely lunch at an Exmoor local. This may be followed by another walk or just possibly a sit by a log fire and drift away dreaming of tomorrow's adventures.
