Self Catering in Devon

Self catering! In Devon! Are you looking for self catering in Devon? Well you have found a really good one. Cobwebs is adjacent to Berry Mill House in Berrynarbor and is hopefully just what you are after. Jill and Gerry James are the owners of Berry Mill House, a converted 17th century mill, and the Cobwebs holiday cottage is in its grounds. Berry Mill House is beautifully situated in Berrynarbor, an award winning village in North Devon, United Kingdom. It is located in a small wooded valley between Combe Martin and Ilfracombe. This is a great spot from which to explore North Devon's world famous Jurassic coastline. Equally you are on the edge of the Exmoor National Park. This area is described as where "Exmoor meets the sea". Berrynarbor is a very beautiful small English village and has a Post Office and General Store. Of course there is a really nice pub called "Ye Olde Globe" which apart from having a great atmosphere, does great food. AT Cobwebs in Berry Mill House you will have so much choice in terms of your holidays. It's astonishing how much there is to do, whether the sun's out, or it isn't, you will find yourself undertaking many different forms of activity. This variety will hopefully bring you back to the same spot year after year. Looking at a bit more distance from this base there is so much within easy reach by car, going as far as the Eden Project in Cornwall, which is about 2 hours away to the west through to Dunster and Minehead eastwards, again a couple of hours away. Between there extremities there are the many villages in Exmoor many of which are served by the National Trust and which offer the most beautiful views in the UK! You may be lucky enough to have children with you, in which case there are lots of theme parks and active areas to go and look at. This may take you to the beaches all along the coast but particularly those beaches at Saunton Sands, Woolacombe and Croyde Bay, or you can join the very large band of walkers who only come to North Devon to walk! Walkers tend to head for the South West Coastal Path. You will see these walkers all geared up for the day and it does pay to have the right equipment, but you can undertake these walks with relatively little equipment apart from waterproofs, boots and enthusiasm! Even if you are not a walker it's likely that you will slowly become one and if you come back often enough, it's likely that you too will have a rucksack, boots and the other items that are so indispensable to walkers! So good luck and look forward to seeing you soon. Both Cobwebs and Berry mill House offer a similar level of accommodation but if you would like to have the meals cooked for you then have a look at Berry Mill House guest House!
