Bed and Breakfast in Devon

Bed and breakfast in Devon! Finding bed and breakfast in Devon is easy? If you look in the right place! Bed and breakfast here at Berry Mill House in Berrynarbor is probably just what you are after. Berry Mill House is a converted 17th century mill, adjacent to the Cobwebs holiday cottage. These are both beautifully situated in a most picturesque location, within the award winning village of Berrynarbor, North Devon, United Kingdom. Thinking of the lovely village of Berrynarbor, it has a Post Office and General Store and is all within easy walking distance of "Ye Olde Globe Inn" which produces very good "pub grub" for lunch throughout the week. You might want to take your Evening Meals in Berry Mill House, which offers great homemade food on arrangement. In this location there is so much to do that whether the sun's out, or it isn't, you will find yourself undertaking many different forms of activity and which will bring you back to the same spot year after year. This is the place to be located with so much within easy reach. There are the many, many beautiful villages in Exmoor, including Simons bath, Challacombe, Exford etc. all of which are served by the National Trust and which offer the most beautiful sights in the UK! You may have children with you, or not but either way there is an incredible amount of things to do. You can go the beaches all along the coast but particularly the surfing beaches at Saunton Sands, Woolacombe and Croyde Bay, or you can join the very large band of "walkers" who only come to North Devon for that purpose. Our South West Coastal Path is an incredible achievement and walkers will walk it in stages over years to complete it. You may just want a short walk; say Combe Martin to Ilfracombe, or a bigger walk like the Lynton to Combe Martin section you will be well served. It pays to have the right equipment, but you can undertake these walks with relatively little equipment apart from waterproofs, boots and enthusiasm! Walkers come in all shapes and sizes and some walkers with both hips replaced and still manage to walk for 8 hours at a time! When you walk along the cliffs, the feeling is magical and mysterious. You won’t meet that many others on these walks and it gives the stressed out and tired the chance to recharge the batteries before going back to the fray. Most people get hooked on this area and tend to come at least once every year or two to keep up the that very special feeling you get after a few days down here. I'm biased because I love it here, and so will you. Many people have found this little secret and many have yet to find it, but whether you go abroard or not this part of the country is so special, and we gets lots of tourists from all over the world who come to admire this very special scenery and perhaps participate in a Devon Cream Tea in the middle of a lovely long and warm day! It may also be worth you considering coming down here out of season, say in November or December. The weather may be wet but it's never really that cold and walking along the cliffs in the winter, with the right clothing, boots etc, is great, because it's just you and you really get that great feeling of being a part of the landscape. You will rarely meet another soul on that long walk and what a way to get exercise! Looking out into the Bristol Channel and imagining the boats that you would have seen a couple of hundred years ago. It must have been like a nautical M1!!! I can go on all day about this area and how marvellous it is, and the reason is that it really is so cool. Many people come to live down here and a lot take a chance when they do, but most of them stay, which is the ultimate test. Anyway hope to see you soon and good luck.
